Hotel Granvia Osaka (Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka) is offering a "Summer Party Plan" at its banquet halls, with reservations open from May 25, 2026. The plan is available for groups of 20 or more from July 1 through September 30, 2026 — covering the height of summer, making it suitable for end-of-season office parties, Obon reunion gatherings, or summer social events with friends.
Plan Overview
The theme running through this year's plan is "A Voyage of Celebration Led by a Treasure Ship." The menus are organized around world cuisine, with each dish representing a different country's culinary tradition, designed to give guests the feeling of discovering culinary treasures from across the globe.
Two price tiers are offered:
Plan A – ¥8,000 per person
Choice of Western-style table arrangement (卓盛り) in either Western or Japanese style, or a Western buffet.
Plan B – ¥10,000 per person
A Western course meal. Highlights include a jewel-like appetizer of lobster and summer vegetables, Portuguese-style white fish and mussels, and Belgian carbonade — beef braised slowly in beer.
Both plans include a complimentary non-alcoholic cocktail for the toast, plus free-flow beverages throughout: beer, wine, whisky highball, cocktails, and soft drinks.
The venue fee for two hours and a standard setup (two microphones, a 240 cm × 240 cm stage) are included in the plan price. A ¥500 per person charge applies for every additional 30 minutes. Note that microphone equipment is not available in smaller banquet rooms.

How the Plan Was Created
This plan came out of an internal contest held at the hotel to sharpen the banquet team's table arrangement skills and strengthen teamwork. Six teams competed by designing a full Summer Party Plan proposal, and the winning team's concept was selected for commercialization.
The judges — including the hotel president and general manager — recognized the winning team for the thoughtful height variation in their table arrangement that made dishes easy to reach, the strong alignment between the theme and the appetizer selection, and the decision to serve an all-inclusive non-alcoholic option for the toast, acknowledging the diverse preferences of guests.
