Kai Corporation, the global cutlery manufacturer headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has launched two new makeup puffs in collaboration with the Dragon Quest series, which celebrated its 40th anniversary on May 27, 2026. The two products—the Dragon Quest Slime 3D Puff and the Dragon Quest Foundation Puff (Haguremetal)—went on sale on May 27, 2026 (Wednesday) at Kai Corporation's official online store as well as drugstores, home centers, and major retailers nationwide.

Dragon Quest Slime 3D Puff and Kai's Popular Foundation Puff Get a Slime Makeover
This is the first-ever collaboration between the Dragon Quest series and Kai Corporation. The first release includes three varieties of the Slime-shaped 3D Puff and a version of Kai's popular Foundation Puff themed after Haguremetal.
The 3D Puff comes in three designs—Slime, Slimebeth, and Metal Slime—and expands to 1.5 times its size when soaked in water, making it a fun visual experience as well as a functional tool. The Foundation Puff, modeled after Haguremetal, features a multi-layer structure that prevents liquid foundation from soaking into the puff, allowing for a smooth finish with a small amount of product. Both products combine cuteness with functionality to add a touch of playfulness to everyday makeup routines.
A second wave of collaboration products is also planned for the future.
