Shibuya Fukuras is a commercial facility that opened on 5 December 2019 in the Dogenzaka area, at the west exit of Shibuya Station. It boasts a height of 103 m and consists of 4 basement floors to 18 above-ground floors.


Offices are located on the upper floors, with the new Tokyu Plaza Shibuya occupying the 2nd to 8th floors and the 17th and 18th floors. A large bus terminal, which also serves airport limousine buses, is located on the ground floor. Serving not only as a commercial facility but also as a transport gateway, it enhances accessibility as part of Shibuya Station.

At its peak times, approximately 500,000 people use the crossing each day, with up to 3,000 people crossing at a single green light. This iconic location has also served as the backdrop for numerous films, both domestic and international. Shaped like two human faces with no torso, the Moyai Statue was donated from Niijima island in 1980, and a statue with a similar design can be found in Niijima.


The advantage of meeting at the Moyai Statue is its convenience, especially during rainy weather. Located right in front of the South Exit ticket gate, so you can wait under the roof of the South Exit. With the renewal of the south area of Shibuya, more and more people will use this as a meeting point.

Apple Shibuya



Apple Shibuya, the fourth company-operated Apple store in Japan after Ginza, Osaka, and Nagoya, originally opened in 2005. However, it temporarily closed on November 26, 2017, and reemerged on October 26, 2018. The reopening, aligning with the launch of the iPhone XR, drew an impressive crowd despite the early weekday morning, with over 700 people patiently waiting in line.


The store, initially occupying the 1st and 2nd floors, has expanded to include two new floors on the 3rd and 4th levels. The transformation has given rise to a bright and inviting atmosphere, featuring a beautiful spiral staircase and a glass exterior that welcomes sunlight. The giant Apple logo on the 2nd floor has become a popular photo spot, inviting visitors and you can actually touch it.


TOHO Cinemas Shibuya

The long-established Shibuto Cine Tower, located along Dogenzaka opposite Shibuya 109, underwent a transformation in 2011 and emerged as TOHO Cinemas Shibuya. The renovation included an expansion, adding two additional screens, bringing the total number of screens to six with a seating capacity of approximately 1,200. Digital projectors have been installed on all screens, enabling the audience to see clear and powerful images. The theater is also within a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station. Furthermore, entry is possible via an underground passageway, making it easy to access even on rainy or extremely hot days.
