◆Introduction Join a hiking tour to Mount Takao, departing from Takao-san-guchi Station in Hachioji, west Tokyo. A private guide will accompany your group as you first visit a temple to pray for good fortune. Hike along the trail to the summit, where you can catch views of Mount Fuji on clear days. Takao: Located about 50 km west of downtown Tokyo, Mt. Takao is one of Kanto's top hiking destinations. Designated a Michelin three-star site in 2007, it offers a beautiful national park perfect for a leisurely day hike. ・Takaosan Yakuo-in Yuki-ji Temple: Mt. Takao has been revered as a sacred mountain and a site of worship for over 1,000 years. Along the hiking trail, you'll find Yakuo-in Temple, where visitors can pray for good fortune from the mountain deity (Tengu) and other Buddhist figures. ・Mt. Takaosan Hiking Course: The trail offers various difficulty levels, ranging from beginner-friendly paths to more challenging hikes. Share your preferences with the guide. You can stop at any point on the trail to rest or enjoy snacks and drinks. ・Keio Takaosan Onsen Gokurakuyu: Descend the mountain by foot, cable car, or lift (please hold on tight, as there are no safety bars on the lift)! Afterward, relax your tired muscles in the hot springs. Please note that those with tattoos are not permitted to use the hot springs. ◆Additional info ・Not wheelchair accessible ・Not recommended for pregnant individuals ・Participants with heart conditions or other serious illnesses cannot join ・A certain level of fitness is required ・Not recommended for children under 5 years old ・Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. ・This tour involves walking both up and down the mountain, ending with a ride on the chairlift or cable car.
