Things to Do in Shibuya, Tokyo: Exploring 3 Newly Opened Trendy Commercial Facilities

10:30am Hachiko Statue(忠犬ハチ公像)

Hachiko Statue is the most famous symbol of Shibuya Station! This time, we meet up in front of the Hachiko Statue, a classic meeting spot!

Hachiko Statue, located at 2-1 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, is a bronze statue installed in 1934. The statue is a tribute to Hachiko, a loyal dog, and is loved by many people as a landmark of Shibuya. It is often used as a meeting spot in Shibuya and is crowded with many people. There is an anecdote that Hachiko, the model for this statue, waited for 10 years in front of Shibuya Station for the return of his owner, Hidesaburō Ueno, even after his death.

11:00am Shibuya Scramble Square(渋谷スクランブルスクエア)

Shibuya Scramble Square opened in November 2019. Not only is it directly connected to the station for easy access, but it is also the tallest building in Shibuya, making it easy to meet up ✨

The commercial building has two basement levels to 14 floors. There are 212 stores, including some that have debuted for the first time ever in Japan!

Shibuya Scramble Square is a shopping mall and tourist attraction located in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. It offers a wide variety of stores including fashion, lifestyle goods, cafes, and restaurants. It is also directly connected to the station, even on rainy days. There is also an observation facility, Shibuya Sky, on the top floor. Opened in November 2019, it is a new landmark tower in Shibuya.

11:10am Shibuya Sky(渋谷スカイ)

Shibuya Sky is located on the 47th floor atop Shibuya Scramble Square!

From a height of 230 meters above the ground, You can enjoy a panoramic view of Shibuya.

Since it was a weekday, there were no sellouts. The fee is 2,000 yen per person!

Shibuya Sky is an observatory spot located in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, on the top floor of Shibuya Scramble Square, offering a panoramic view of Shibuya from a height of approximately 230 meters. There is also an artificial grass area and hammocks for children to enjoy. Open from 10:00am to 10:30pm. Please note that it is crowded during sunset hours.

12:30pm Shibuya PARCO(渋谷パルコ)

Next, we went to Shibuya PARCO for lunch. It’s a unique building that opened in November 2019, with a first floor section that you can walk through!

It has 192 stores from the basement floor to the 10th floor, they seem to have a lot of brand shops that are a little more expensive than other shops. It also features a theater and a gallery, the restaurant floor is called CHAOS KITCHEN, and is lined with unique stores.

Shibuya PARCO is a commercial complex located in Udagawa-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. It has many brand shops, and CHAOS KITCHEN, with its unique stores, is also popular. It also has a theater and galleries, and is strongly popular among young people as a source of the latest fashions. The rooftop garden is also free of charge and is especially recommended at sunset. Various events are also held, allowing visitors to experience the latest technology. Parking is also available.

12:40pm KIWAMIYA Shibuya PARCO(極味や 渋谷パルコ店)

KIWAMIYA is a hamburg steak restaurant located on the basement floor of Shibuya PARCO! It seems to be a popular hamburg steak restaurant that originated in Fukuoka and we’ve always wanted to eat!

We ordered the restaurant’s popular hamburg steak, and we also added rice with free refills!

The waiter quickly grilled and served it on a griddle right in front of the counter seats.

It’s still rare, so we grill it ourselves slowly until it’s gone! Grill them as big as you like and enjoy them hot!

KIWAMIYA Shibuya PARCO is a hamburg steak restaurant located in Udagawa-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. This popular restaurant originated in Fukuoka and is located on the basement floor of Shibuya PARCO. Its popular hamburg steak are made by grilling raw meat on a teppan (griddle) to your own liking. This very popular restaurant in Fukuoka has landed in PARCO, and it has become a hot topic of conversation.

2:00pm Miyashita Park (ミヤシタパーク)

Miyashita Park just opened in July 2020✨

It is a four-story building, housing not only restaurants and stores, but also a park and a hotel!

Of particular note is the rooftop park! It’s also good to take away some food and enjoy it here!

Miyashita Park is a commercial facility located in Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. 4 story building, houses restaurants, stores, hotels, etc. There are spots where you can hang out throughout the night, such as Shibuya Yokocho where you can enjoy 24-hour drinking. The park is also open to the public from 8:00am and is illuminated at night.

2:15pm Kith Treats Tokyo(キストリーツ)

Next destination is here; This is the first-ever KITH-branded store to open in Japan, selling apparel and sweets.

The sweets here are; There are two types of ice cream and shakes, and dozens of toppings to put on them! We heard that you can customize it as you like, so it’s hard to decide!

Ordered the most popular ice cream! We were surprised at its unexpected weight, and even more astonished when we tried it and savored the crunchy cereal!

Kith Treats is an ice cream store located in Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, and is a KITH-branded store that also sells apparel. There are two types of ice cream and shakes, and customers can customize their own ice cream from dozens of toppings. The store has only 8 seats at the counter, and you can also take away and eat on the benches in Miyashita Park. The stylish menu, written in English, presents both pre-set combinations and the option to customize your own.

14:30 Shibuya Yokocho(渋谷横丁)

For a quick drink, we came to Shibuya Yokocho on the first floor.

There were 19 stores within a 100-meter stretch, you can taste specialties from all over Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south!

After much deliberation, we settled on savoring the taste of Hokkaido!

Shibuya Yokocho is a “food and entertainment” fusion facility located in Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, with 19 stores including izakaya (Japanese style pubs). Located near the first floor of RAYARD MIYASHITA PARK, it is a great place to enjoy nightlife.
