LUXX LED projector headlights designed exclusively for the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ have gone on sale from AlphaRex®, an LED lighting brand from the United States. They are sold by 株式会社コラント (headquartered in Hashima, Gifu Prefecture), an automotive accessories maker that is the exclusive distributor of AlphaRex in Japan.
The model is designed to refresh the look of the front of the car and add to the excitement of driving. It brings together advanced lighting effects that make the difference noticeable at a glance, including an activation function in which the light draws a fantastical motion when the doors are unlocked, and sequential turn signals with a sharp, flowing light.
The beam pattern is set up precisely for left-hand traffic in Japan, making this a Japan-only specification. The headlights meet safety standards (E-mark certified) and come with a one-year warranty.
Advanced Lighting Effects (Activation Function)
The activation function creates a fantastical display across the front face of the car when it is unlocked or when the lights are turned on.
(Note: The activation function can be switched on and off. For use on public roads, setting it to off ensures compliance with safety standards.)
Sequential Turn Signals (Flowing Turn Signals)
The turn signals can be switched between normal blinking and flowing sequential turn signals, so the style can be changed to suit personal preference. The sequential turn signals are on at shipment.
Japan Specification (Left-Hand Traffic)
The beam pattern is fully localized for left-hand traffic in Japan. It improves visibility and safety when driving at night, and a cut-off line prevents dazzling oncoming drivers.
Two Color Options
Two colors are available: "Alpha Black" (gloss black with smoked lenses), which gives a sporty, tightened look, and "Black" (matte black with clear lenses), which emphasizes a sharp texture.
