The Ginza-based pen boutique ancora — jointly operated by Plus Corporation and Sailor Pen — is launching the Limited-Edition Fountain Pen Set "Napolitan" on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM JST, available at both the Ginza flagship store and the official online shop.
This release marks the third entry in ancora's "Retro Kissa ancora" (Retro Café ancora) series, with the nostalgic Japanese pasta dish Napolitan as its theme.
The pen is a PROFESSIONALGEAR Slim model by Sailor Pen, finished in a red and orange body representing the rich Napolitan sauce coating the pasta. The design extends to the details: the green cap pays tribute to the sliced bell peppers that are a signature topping of the dish, with a foil-stamped ring of pepper rounds at its center. The tail cap references mushrooms, another classic Napolitan ingredient, while the silver metal parts evoke cutlery. The 14K gold nib carries a small engraving of a takosan wiener — the octopus-shaped sausage that often accompanies the dish.
Five nib widths are available: EF (Extra Fine), F (Fine), MF (Medium Fine), M (Medium), and B (Bold). The pen is compatible with both cartridge and converter filling systems.
Included in the set is a 20 ml bottle of "Napolitan" ink — a newly developed orange-toned hue inspired by the sauce — and an ink converter printed with illustrations of Napolitan's ingredients.
