Apocalypse Hotel Karikari, the second official manga adaptation of the original TV anime Apocalypse Hotel — winner of the 57th Seiun Award in both the Media and Comic categories — releases on July 7 (Tuesday) from Takeshobo.

Synopsis

Long after humanity has vanished, many years have passed on Earth. At the Ginga-ro, a hotel in Tokyo's Ginza district, the hotelier robot Yachiyo and the staff robots have been waiting for their owner's return and for the day human guests would once again walk through the doors.

But the guests who finally arrived, 100 years later, were extraterrestrials.

Whether each new visitor who arrives is there to stay, to invade, or for some other reason entirely remains to be seen. Yachiyo and the staff's hospitality, carried out for the honor of the Ginga-ro, is far from over.
