The name is a portmanteau combining "Arte," the Italian word for "art," and "Velo," meaning "veil" — together expressing the concept of "wearing art." The brand offers a fresh alternative for those who find character-focused designs too flashy but plain sleeves too plain, proposing casual art-inspired designs that blend naturally into everyday life.
Artevelo partners with popular creators to produce and sell card sleeves featuring their illustrations. For the 9th collaboration, the brand has announced a partnership with illustrator 棉きのし.

棉きのし
棉きのし is an illustrator specializing in "cute things" across the board, including character design and merchandise illustrations. Known for a pop and subculture-influenced style, the artist creates work characterized by soft linework and transparent, luminous color palettes.
