A showcase video celebrating the 1st anniversary of the official release of the roguelike RPG Chaos Zero Nightmare, developed by SUPER CREATIVE and operated by Smilegate, was published on the game's official YouTube channel on October 10, 2026 (Saturday).
The showcase announced a wide range of new information, including details of Season 5 "雪に交わした約束" of "銀河系災害," which begins on October 21 (Wednesday), new combatants, improvements to various systems, 1st anniversary events, and upcoming updates.

1st Anniversary "Nightmare Festival" (悪夢祭) — New Story and Commemorative Events
The "Nightmare Festival" (悪夢祭) is a commemorative event themed around a festival that appears in the game's world.
It originates from a custom of the ステラファミリア race. Every year at the end of October, to avoid the effects of a comet, they gather on a giant ark and share their experiences with one another. The custom was passed on to the ナイトメア号 and came to be called the "Nightmare Festival."
For the 1st anniversary, a variety of events and content will be offered both inside and outside the game, giving players more ways to enjoy the world of Chaos Zero Nightmare.
"銀河系災害" Season 5 "雪に交わした約束" Begins October 21
Season 5 of "銀河系災害", "雪に交わした約束", begins on October 21, 2026 (Wednesday).
The new story unfolds on the giant ark フロント・ノヴァ, which crashed on the polar planet ニヴァリス. フロント・ノヴァ was once used to develop the planet. After it crashed in an accident, several Chaos bloomed there, and it transformed into the domain of ディアロス, known as "天上の防壁."
In Season 5, the story of the gods takes center stage. The relationship between the gods and Chaos, the purpose of the gods, and other secrets hidden in the world of the game are gradually revealed.
The new Chaos "天上の防壁" features mechanical guardian angels and humanoid fallen angels. At its deepest point waits "ヴァルトラウテ," a judgment proxy who acts on the will of ディアロス.
Boss-specific cut-ins and a theme song are also being added, along with special stories that can be enjoyed by forming a team with specific combatants.
New 1st Anniversary Season Combatant "ロスヴァイセ" and Partner "シグ"
The October 21 update introduces a new season combatant, ロスヴァイセ, and a new partner, シグ.
ロスヴァイセ is an apostle of the goddess of circulation "キルケン" who nevertheless harbors hostility toward the gods. She appears as a Justice-attribute Striker and uses a new battle system themed on the circulation of light and dark.
In battle, a new keyword, "明暗" (light and dark), comes into play. A special card that splits into two cards, "明" (light) and "暗" (dark), when added to the hand reacts to events such as allies using cards and triggers various effects. When certain conditions are met, the two cards merge to unleash a powerful attack.
"トラウマコード," which delves into ロスヴァイセ's past, is also being added with full voice acting.
The new partner シグ, who calls herself ロスヴァイセ's youngest sister, supports ロスヴァイセ in battle as well.
Upcoming Combatants "ブレイズベル" and "ダリア"
Two more combatants to be released in the future were also revealed: ブレイズベル, the first combatant from the シレイマ faction, and ダリア, who combines multiple cards to deliver a powerful strike.
ブレイズベル is a Justice-attribute Controller who uses the power of fire to support allies. ダリア binds together cards with different effects to create powerful cards with a variety of effects.
Their respective partners, ヴィヴィアン (for ブレイズベル) and エデリン (for ダリア), are also scheduled to appear.
System Improvements — "大亀裂" Renewal and New Features
The showcase also announced a number of system improvements to make the game more comfortable to play.
The high-difficulty combat content "大亀裂" will be divided into two modes: "討伐戦," where the goal is to clear the content, and "勲功戦," where players compete for higher scores and rankings. Clearing "討伐戦" unlocks "勲功戦," allowing players to take on challenges that suit their play style.
A "行動パターン予告ポップアップ" is also being added to give advance notice of powerful boss attacks and other moves, making it easier to grasp the situation during battle.
Partners gain a new function, "探査パッシブ," which supports roguelike play in Chaos and sorties. It provides various effects, such as increased credit gains and a higher chance of triggering 神ヒラメキ.
In addition, a feature for crafting the equipment item "記憶の欠片" by selecting its options is planned, along with a "再構成" system that allows enhancement values to be changed again.
Other convenience improvements are also planned, including a battle speed-up function, improved use of the "挑戦" simulation, expanded weekly missions, and better sticker UI and UX.
1st Anniversary Event "ナイトメアドリームパーク"
After the October 21 update, a special 1st anniversary event, "ナイトメアドリームパーク," will be held.
The event is an idle management content in which players build various attractions and grow a theme park while collecting revenue.
Players run the park by assigning managers to attractions, and can also enjoy SD animations and stamps showing the combatants enjoying their everyday lives.
Depending on event progress and achievements, players can earn rewards such as crystals, growth resources, limited combatant stamps, and "神ヒラメキ選択コア."
Many anniversary rewards and campaigns are also available:
- Players at level 10 or higher receive a "戦闘員／パートナー選択チケット" just by logging in.
- 1,600 crystals and a free gacha worth 70 standard "rescue" pulls (常設救出) are provided.
- The login event offers 10 信号増幅アンカー and 20 救出アンカー.
- Special 1st anniversary rewards include a reset of the first-purchase crystal bonus, limited stickers, and an exclusive background for ロスヴァイセ.

New Special Grade Costumes and Card Skins
New customization content that lets players enjoy the characters even more was also unveiled.
Special Grade costumes are planned for release, with ロスヴァイセ as the first target. A wide range of visuals are replaced with exclusive versions, including the portrait, battle effects, SD character, ego skill, and mythic card cut-ins. The number of exclusive voice lines is also greatly expanded from the conventional 2 types to 46 types.
A new card skin pack, "夜空への招待," is also coming. It includes card skins for a total of 16 combatants, including ロスヴァイセ, letting players change the card illustrations to their liking.
New Multiplayer Mode "連合作戦 - コアブレイク" Coming in December
As part of upcoming updates, it was announced that the game's first multiplayer content, "連合作戦 - コアブレイク," will be released in December 2026.
In this cooperative content, two players team up to break through monsters and aim to defeat the boss. It supports friend invitations and random matching, and has a more compact structure than regular Chaos, so players can enjoy battles while cooperating with others.
Elements unique to cooperative play are also introduced, such as a mechanism in which the gods change part of the game's rules during play, and "連合戦術," in which the two players choose effects together.
In addition, it was announced that the release of the "堕落" system, which is currently in development, has been postponed to further improve its quality.
Activities Outside the Game — Anniversary OST and "めいどりーみん" Collaboration Cafe
To mark the 1st anniversary of the official release, various projects are also being rolled out outside the game, including music content, offline events, and original merchandise.
For the 1st anniversary OST, the popular composer ミツキヨ (Mitsukiyo) is in charge of the composition, and the music influencer CielA takes part as the vocalist. The full version is scheduled to be released on October 20, 2026 (Tuesday).
A collaboration cafe with the popular maid cafe "めいどりーみん" will be held at 8 locations nationwide from October 16, 2026 (Friday) to November 15, 2026 (Sunday).
New merchandise sales and an exhibition at "AGF 2026," to be held in Korea in December, are also planned. Chaos Zero Nightmare will roll out a variety of in-game and out-of-game events and content as the "Nightmare Festival," starting with the October 21 update.
