The roguelike RPG Chaos Zero Nightmare has added a second story chapter, "Ruins of the Desert Kingdom," to its story-driven seasonal content Galactic Disaster Season 2. The update, announced on February 25 (Wednesday), also introduces new fighters, partners, and gameplay systems.
Chapter 2 Story: Tipera and Fang's Hidden Past Revealed
Chapter 2 uncovers the hidden backstory of Tipera and Fang, who operates the Black Market. New information about the Season 2 Chaos "Blazing Life" is also disclosed in this chapter.
Alongside the Chapter 2 launch, the Season 2 "Great Rift" content is now live. The Great Rift is a ranking-style mode where players compete to deal the highest total damage to a boss. Rewards including various in-game currencies and limited cosmetic items are distributed based on players' best records and ranking grades. "Omega Code"—a material that enables Ego Manifestation (limit break) for ★5 fighters—has also been added to the Galactic Disaster-exclusive rewards shop.
New Characters: ★5 Fighter Tipera and ★5 Partner Tiana
The two main characters of the Season 2 story, Tipera and Tiana, are now available as a new ★5 fighter and a new ★5 partner respectively.
Tipera is an Order-attribute Controller class who specializes in generating "Creation Cards" with various effects to support allies.
Tiana raises the defense of her assigned fighter and boosts ally damage whenever that fighter generates a card with the "Vanish" effect.
New Systems: Environment Variables and First Sync
Two new systems have been introduced alongside this update.
"Environment Variables" is a system designed to deliver a unique Chaos exploration experience for each season of Galactic Disaster. Players can progressively unlock a skill tree to enhance season-exclusive power elements and improve overall convenience.
"First Sync" adjusts the growth stage of a selected fighter based on the player's Captain Level, allowing fighters that haven't been fully developed to be deployed in battle sooner.
Update Commemoration Events
Several in-game events are running to celebrate the new story update.
In "Shadow of Spytz," players team up with new fighter Tipera to solve various incidents and can earn Crystals, "Prism Lenses," and a special sticker cosmetic item.
The "Virtual Tactics Simulation" event also allows players to experience Tipera's gameplay firsthand while earning rewards.
Additionally, daily login bonuses and rewards for playing battle content—including "Rescue Anchors"—are available throughout the event period.
