There is a scene that many people will recognize from old anime and variety programs — everyone frantically passing a bomb around, each person desperate not to be the one holding it when it goes off. That comical image has now been turned into a casual smartphone game called Circle Bomb, which is currently available for download.

Single Mode
In Single Mode, the objective is to eliminate one of the black-clad gang members using the bomb. If the bomb goes off while the player or an innocent bystander is holding it, the mission fails.
The player can throw the bomb at any time within a 10-second window, but each of the other characters has a fixed amount of time they will hold onto it before passing it along. This keeps things unpredictable — there is a girl who passes the bomb away almost immediately, a gang boss, a civilian who holds on for five seconds or more, and a monkey whose timing is anyone's guess. Despite all the chaos of a bomb being passed around, all the characters maintain the circle's order, giving the game a curiously charming quality.

Survival Mode
Survival Mode pits the player against characters from around the world, with the goal of being the last one standing. In this mode, every character — including the player — can hold the bomb for a maximum of five seconds, so reading the length of the fuse becomes the key to survival.

In both modes, winning rounds earns coins that can be saved up to purchase costume items.
