Crimson Desert Enhanced is getting its first piece of downloadable content. During Sony Interactive Entertainment's (SIE) online showcase State of Play, developer Pearl Abyss Corp. (headquartered in Gwacheon, South Korea) revealed the release date for the DLC Charting the Unknown and opened pre-orders for it.
Charting the Unknown launches worldwide simultaneously on October 16, 2026 (Japan time).
A new trailer released alongside the announcement showcases the content coming with the expansion, including exploration that extends from the land of Pywel out to the sea, battles against powerful new enemies, and expanded housing and business management features.
The Adventure Expands to the Sea
Previously centered on the land, exploration in Crimson Desert Enhanced expands out to the sea with Charting the Unknown.
Players can captain their own ship out onto the water to explore new islands, and can uncover treasures, ruins, and hidden secrets resting in the deep.
Powerful New Enemies and More Intense Combat
Powerful new enemies and a variety of challenges await across both land and sea.
Players can adapt their tactics to the situation as they take on battles that are more intense and tension-filled than ever before.
Expanded Housing and Business Management
The housing system is also being expanded, letting players build a home suited to their own tastes and personality.
On top of that, a new business management feature lets players lease and run multiple facilities to earn income.
By deepening relationships with the local community through conversation and interaction, players will be able to enjoy an even richer life in Pywel.
Exclusive Diving Suits as a Pre-Order Bonus
Charting the Unknown will be available as a digital download only.
Everyone who pre-orders will receive the following in-game items as a bonus:
