About Bandai's Gashapon®
The Gashapon® brand gets its name from the distinctive sounds of operating the machine - turning the handle makes a "gasha" sound, and the toy-filled capsule drops out with a "pon" sound. Bandai entered the capsule toy market in 1977 and has been evolving the concept for 48 years.
The brand releases over 120 product varieties monthly, developing vending machines that accept cash, electronic money, and QR code payments. Recent sustainability efforts include capsule recycling and eco-friendly materials development.
Since 2021, Gashapon Bandai Official Shops have expanded internationally, making these collectible toys available worldwide.
