Demon Slayer: Nichirin Battle Slash (鬼滅の刃 日輪バトルスラッシュ), a new card action arcade game developed by Konami Arcade Games, is set to launch sequentially at amusement facilities nationwide from July 9 (Thursday).
Players collect cards dispensed from the machine and use the "Nichirin Sword Controller" (日輪刀コントローラー) at the center of the cabinet to battle a variety of opponents. Two types of cards are available — "Battle Cards" and "Support Cards" — each with different Battle Types and Skills that can be combined strategically depending on the opponent.
By following on-screen instructions with the Nichirin Sword Controller, players can unleash a range of attacks and experience sword-fighting action including slashing and guarding, creating an immersive battle experience as if stepping into the world of Demon Slayer.
Using a "Memory Card" during play allows the cards used in battle to grow over time. As cards level up, players can take on opponents they previously could not defeat.
Game Overview
Choose Your Mode
After inserting coins, select the mode you want to play. Using a Memory Card records the results of each play and levels up the cards used, adding more depth to the game.
Battle Slash Mode
The standard mode where players choose an opponent and fight. Three difficulty levels are available — Ordinary Demon Slayer, Advanced Demon Slayer, and Pillar — so players can choose an opponent suited to their skill level.
Event Mode
A limited-time mode featuring various battles. Completing specific conditions in Event Mode earns in-game items.
*Memory Cards can be purchased in-game.
Scan Your Favorite Cards and Enter Battle
Up to three Battle Cards and three Support Cards can be used per battle. Players without Battle Cards can still fight using a helper character.
*If a player has no Support Cards, the game proceeds without them.
Battle with the Nichirin Sword Controller
Each turn, players choose a character to fight and a roulette determines the attack. Operating the Nichirin Sword Controller in response to on-screen prompts enables attacks and defenses. Reduce the enemy's HP to claim victory.
Unleash Special Moves for Massive Damage
Stopping the roulette on the "Special" area activates a special move. Each card has a unique special move, and successfully performing the linked action with the on-screen character increases the damage dealt for a decisive advantage in battle.
Collect All 60 Cards in Series 1
Series 1 of Demon Slayer: Nichirin Battle Slash features a total of 60 cards: 45 Battle Cards and 15 Support Cards. Rarities include UR (Ultra Rare), SR (Super Rare), R (Rare), and C (Common), with some UR cards available in alternate illustrations.
Battle Cards
Character cards used in battle. Each card has a Battle Type drawn from three attributes — Power (力), Technique (技), and Heart (心) — along with unique HP, attack, and defense values. Every card also carries an individual Battle Skill; knowing when to use it based on the opponent and game state is key to gaining the upper hand.
Support Cards
Cards that provide backup through Support Skills. Effects range from boosting attack power to increasing special move damage, and choosing the right Support Card to pair with Battle Cards is an important part of strategy.
