Desktop Mate DLC packs for Kotonoha Akane and Kotonoha Aoi are set to launch on Steam on Friday, April 24, 2026, at ¥2,200 each (tax included). The Steam store pages are now live, and players can add the titles to their wish lists ahead of release.
The DLC is developed under the Desktop Mate platform by Infinite Loop Inc., a systems development company based in Sapporo, Hokkaido. The characters themselves are from AI Inc., the company behind the high-quality AI voice synthesis engine "AITalk®."
About the DLC Characters
Kotonoha Akane is the older of the twin sisters, known for her Kansai dialect and somewhat free-spirited personality, while Kotonoha Aoi is the younger sister who speaks in standard Japanese and is considered the more reliable of the two. Both characters bring their distinctive character voices and a range of motions to the desktop experience.
Individual character features include a "!" reaction when clicked, a petal-scattering effect when jumping off or appearing on screen, and a ribbon-to-petals transformation animation when the character is petted.

Combo Action Feature
One highlight of the release is the "Combo Action" system, which activates when both the Kotonoha Akane DLC and the Kotonoha Aoi DLC are owned. The feature unlocks special twin-specific interactions between the two characters.
Available combo actions include:
- The two characters wave to each other at the edge of the screen
- Clicking one character while they are side by side causes the other to react with surprise
- When one character is grabbed, the other is surprised
- When one character appears or exits, the other waves
- Combo Alarm: When an alarm triggers while both characters are on screen, Kotonoha Akane and Kotonoha Aoi appear together
Note: The combo action feature is exclusive to the Kotonoha Akane and Kotonoha Aoi combination.
