A new companion app for the desktop mascot platform Desktop Mate has arrived. "Calculator - Desktop Mate Widgets," a digital calculator app developed by Infinite Loop Inc., launched on July 22, 2026 (Wednesday) as the first entry in a new widget series alongside the "Desktop Mate" platform, which has surpassed 2 million cumulative downloads. A Hatsune Miku DLC pack is also available from the same day.

"Calculator - Desktop Mate Widgets" is a digital calculator app that can be used together with a favorite character, arriving as the first entry in a new widget series alongside "Desktop Mate."
Every tap of a button makes the character speak the number aloud while striking a cute pose, turning a brief moment of calculating into a small daily scene with a favorite character. The app itself is free to download, and comes bundled with Infinite Loop's official mascot character, Aieru-tan.
It supports Steam (Windows / Mac), App Store (iPhone / iPad / Mac), Google Play (Android), and Microsoft Store (Windows), making it available across a wide range of devices.
A Calculator That's Actually Fun — Packed With Features
Cute Character Reactions
Every tap of a button makes the character speak the number aloud while striking a pose. Pressing "=" reveals the result — though the character might occasionally look a little puzzled by a tricky calculation. Petting or poking the character's head also triggers its own set of cute reactions.
Designs That Can Be Customized to Match Each Character
The calculator's buttons and background can be switched to designs that match each character's look. Multiple design variations are available even for the same character, so the look can be coordinated to fit a mood or occasion.
Performance Mode
Pressing the musical note button switches the calculator from Calculator Mode to Performance Mode, where the character sings along in response to each key pressed. Holding the "+" or "-" button while pressing keys shifts the pitch up or down by a semitone, and multiple keys can be pressed at once — with a bit of practice, something close to a real performance becomes possible.
Special Answer Reactions
When a calculation lands on certain results, the character responds with a special reaction. Each character also reacts to its own unique set of numbers, so there may be hidden reactions still waiting to be discovered.
Hatsune Miku DLC Released Simultaneously
Alongside today's launch, a DLC pack for the popular virtual singer Hatsune Miku has also been released. Using voice lines newly recorded specifically for "Calculator - Desktop Mate Widgets," Miku speaks each number and strikes cute poses while calculating. The pack includes four Miku-themed design variations, and in Performance Mode, she sings along with each key pressed. When a calculation result comes out to "39," a special reaction might just occur.
From Day One, Together With Aieru-tan
From the moment the app is downloaded, the calculator comes with Infinite Loop's official mascot character, Aieru-tan. Her voice is provided by Milia, familiar to many as a VOICEVOX character voice.
