Dinkum Launches on Nintendo Switch 2 with Major Steam Anniversary Update

On April 23, 2026, survival life simulation game Dinkum became available on Nintendo Switch 2 (download version), while the Steam version received a major update marking the one-year anniversary of its official release.

Nintendo Switch 2 Version Now Available

Following the Nintendo Switch version released last November, Dinkum is now available to download for Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Switch 2 version features visuals optimized for the hardware, including improved frame rates and graphics resolution.

Players who already own the Nintendo Switch version can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version for ¥100 (tax included) via a dedicated upgrade pass.

This Nintendo Switch update also includes content from the previously released "Night Market" and "Animal Tracks" updates that were well-received on Steam.

The Nintendo Switch version of Dinkum supports optimized controls and smooth performance in both handheld and TV modes, as well as cooperative multiplayer for exploring the island together with friends via local or online play.

Steam Version: New Island and More

The Steam update introduces a new island called "Great Bite," featuring climbable cliffs, new plant life, and diverse terrain for players to explore. By supplying power to lighthouses scattered across the island, nearby treasure locations become marked on the map. New decorative items and vehicles are also included.

The update also brings quality-of-life improvements and customization options. The new "Fuel Stand" item lets players summon vehicles from anywhere on the island. New face accessories and the "Swag Pack" customization system allow for greater character personalization.

Limited-Time Anniversary Sale

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Dinkum's official Steam release, limited-time discounts are available across platforms. The Steam version, Nintendo Switch version, and Nintendo Switch 2 version (download) are all available at 20% off.

Dinkum was developed solo by Australian developer James Bendon and first released as an Early Access title on Steam in July 2022. KRAFTON has handled global publishing for the title since February 2025, and the game officially launched after approximately three years in Early Access.
