Furyu Launches nazoQ, a New Blind-Box Collectible Toy Brand Starting with Hatsune Miku

A new blind-box collectible toy brand is launching from Furyu Corporation as part of its "world-view business." Called nazoQ, the brand is built around three Q's — the thrill of opening (Question), the seriousness of quality (Quality), and the fun of collecting (Quest) — under the tagline "Let's Q!" Pre-orders for Hatsune Miku items open in November 2026 on Furyu's own hobby e-commerce site, FURYU HOBBY MALL, and merchandise tied to the film Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc and the TV anime Attack on Titan is also planned.

Capsule toys and lottery-style products, where buyers don't know exactly what they'll get, have grown popular in Japan for the thrill of not knowing and the fun of completing a set. "Blind boxes," which sell miniature figures at random from boxes that give no hint of their contents, offer a similar sense of excitement and collectibility and are especially popular outside Japan, with the global market projected to reach US$8,522 million (roughly ¥1.3961 trillion) by 2026, according to market research firm QYResearch.

With nazoQ, Furyu has developed products meant to be enjoyed twice — once before opening the box and again after. Each figure draws on the scale-figure production know-how the company has built through its high-quality hobby brand F:NEX and its prize (crane game) business, resulting in a high level of craftsmanship. Each series will include about six variations (buying a full, unopened box guarantees a complete set), with individual items priced in the ¥1,000s. Alongside Furyu's own FURYU HOBBY MALL, the brand will expand into specialty hobby shops and mass retailers, and in-stock items will also be sold after the pre-order period ends. Furyu is aiming to sell 100,000 boxes per item under the nazoQ brand in fiscal 2031, positioning it as a new pillar of its world-view business alongside its existing prize and hobby merchandise operations.
