Ame Nochi Hare Onna is a brand-new mobile game from Game Freak built around the idea that tomorrow's weather becomes magic.
In the game, real-world weather affects every corner of the experience.
Linked to weather forecasts from across Japan, it offers a new kind of game closely tied to everyday life.
Meet the Main Characters: Hare Onna and Kumorin
The story is set in present-day Japan.
Hare Onna is a magical girl who turns the power of weather into a force that lifts people's spirits.
Kumorin is a divine messenger who serves as Hare Onna's partner, lending her that power.
Together, Hare Onna and Kumorin set out to brighten all of Japan, one clear sky at a time.
The official artwork and profiles for the game's main characters have been released: Himawari Harewatari as Hare Onna, and Pon Arai as Kumorin.

A Collaboration Between Game Freak and Chronogate
Shigeru Omori of Game Freak — director of the Pokémon series and concept & senior director of 『ぽこ あ ポケモン』 — serves as director and producer on this title.
Alongside Game Freak, Chronogate Inc. has joined as a development partner, with the two companies developing the game together.
Special Livestream Airing Today to Celebrate the Announcement
To mark the announcement, an official livestream for Ame Nochi Hare Onna, 「ハレ女部ミーティング#1」, will air.
With cooperation from Weathernews Inc., the broadcast will come live from a Weathernews studio.
Weathernews caster Airi Yamagishi will serve as MC for the broadcast.
The first half of the program features the development team discussing how the game came together and its world, while the second half brings in the voice cast as guests to share more about the appeal of Hare Onna and Kumorin.
The stream will also reveal details of the Game Freak Ame Nochi Hare Onna booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026, running from Thursday, September 17.
