Donguri Kyowakoku, the nationwide Studio Ghibli goods store, is adding two new desk items to its lineup: a diorama piece inspired by My Neighbor Totoro and another inspired by Spirited Away, both of which double as paperweights. The two items go on sale at Donguri Kyowakoku stores from August 22, 2026 (Saturday), with early online pre-orders opening at the Soranoueshop online store from 12:00 PM (noon) on August 21, 2026 (Friday).
Two New Products Recreate Iconic Scenes
The new items bring two memorable moments from My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away to life in three-dimensional form, while doubling as practical desk accessories such as a paperweight, pen stand, or tray.
The "My Neighbor Totoro Diorama Pen Stand with Paperweight: Totoro's Home" recreates the scene of Totoro sleeping in the forest. The figure captures Totoro's endearing expression and posture, along with a small soot-black creature peeking out from behind and finely painted, sculpted plants. The pot-shaped base can be used as a pen stand, while the detachable Totoro figure works as a paperweight.
The "Spirited Away Diorama Tray with Paperweight: Stone Figure Tunnel" is modeled on the tunnel leading to the mysterious town and the moss-covered stone figure standing at its entrance. The piece pays close attention to detail, from the bathhouse lettering and the coloring of the tunnel to the sense of depth created by the tray-shaped base. The stone figure can be removed and used as a paperweight, while the embedded magnet in the stone pavement doubles as a clip holder.
