The fourth story event for the iOS/Android command-battle RPG Gintama: Smartphone Battle Chronicle — the Yagyu Arc — is now underway, starting May 1, 2026.
Yagyu Arc Story Event
Event Period: May 1, 2026 (Friday) – June 1, 2026 (Monday) at 2:59 PM
The Yagyu Arc is the fourth installment in the game's Story Event series. By completing limited-time quests, players earn "Story Coins" that can be exchanged for a variety of rewards, including gacha tickets and materials for upgrading pickup characters' equipment.
SSR [Yagyu] Yagyu Kyubei Pickup Gacha
Event Period: May 1, 2026 (Friday) – June 1, 2026 (Monday) at 2:59 PM
To mark the Yagyu Arc, a pickup gacha is running with increased appearance rates for "SSR [Yagyu] Yagyu Kyubei" and "SS [Yagyu] Yagyu Kyubei Equipment." Additional pickup gachas featuring other characters from the story event are also scheduled to follow.
New SSR Evolution Material "Justawei for Evolution" — Launch Campaign
Campaign Period: May 1, 2026 (Friday) – May 8, 2026 (Friday) at 11:59 PM
A new evolution material called "Justawei for Evolution" was added to the game on April 27. This versatile card can be used to evolve any SSR card regardless of character.
To celebrate the addition, a repost campaign is live on the official X account. If the campaign post receives a combined total of 5,000 reposts and likes before the deadline, all players will receive one "Justawei for Evolution ☆1" for free.
How to Participate:

- Repost and like the campaign post
- If the combined total of reposts and likes reaches 5,000, all users receive one "Justawei for Evolution ☆1"
Note: Using Justawei for an evolution requires the same number of Justawei cards as the star count of the character being evolved.
