About the Film "GROTESQQQUE" (In Theaters November 6, 2026)

"GROTESQQQUE" is a completely original animated film in which Atsushi Nishigori packs in everything he loves, as much as he likes. Nishigori directed "THE IDOLM@STER" and "DARLING in the FRANXX," and served as chief animation director on the hit "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," which became a social phenomenon.
The main characters are played by voice actress Kana Ichinose, actress Sara Minami, and four members of the idol group Nogizaka46: Nagi Inoue, Aruno Nakanishi, Miku Ichinose, and Nao Tomisato. Although they are active in different fields, each of them is an expressive performer, and they are joined by popular and skilled voice actors as well as actor Gen Hoshino, a longtime friend of Nishigori, to bring the film's world vividly to life.
The songs featured in the film cross a wide range of genres, including technopop, Vocaloid, city pop, loud rock, rap, EDM, and classical music, with a total of 35 artists taking part, each with a strong individual style.
Pop, edgy visuals and sound layer together, and the world pulses. Aliens, gals, and vampires: the story of the "grotesque" girls drawn by Atsushi Nishigori is about to begin.
