iRobot Japan has added two new spring-inspired color options to its compact robot vacuum lineup. The "Roomba Mini Robot Vacuum & Mopping + AutoEmpty Charging Station" is now available in Sakura (cherry blossom pink) and Wakaba (young leaf green), with sales starting March 13, 2026.
The Sakura and Wakaba variants join the White (SHIRO) and Black (KURO) colorways that went on sale on February 27. The initial two colors already generated significant buzz: pre-orders on the official iRobot online store reached approximately 4.5 times the originally planned volume, and the subscription service "Robot Smart Plan+" sold out within just five days of the announcement. The product's official social media impressions also jumped to more than 45 times their pre-announcement levels.
The Roomba Mini was developed specifically for Japan's compact living spaces. The robot body is roughly half the volume of a conventional Roomba model2, while the AutoEmpty charging station reduces the overall installation footprint by approximately 33% compared to a standard robot vacuum setup4. Despite its smaller size, the Roomba Mini features suction power approximately 70 times stronger than a past popular series5, enabling it to navigate under furniture and maneuver easily even in rooms with lots of items on the floor. A slimmer model, the "Roomba Mini Slim Robot Vacuum & Mopping + SlimCharge Charging Stand," is scheduled to go on sale on April 6 (Monday). The Slim pairs with a vertical charging stand that reduces the installation footprint by approximately 85% compared to the AutoEmpty model*4, making it well-suited to studio apartments and smaller living spaces.
