Kakiyasu Honten, a meat specialty shop with roots dating back to Meiji 4 (1871) when it opened as a beef hotpot restaurant, is releasing the "Mugen Gyunabe Bento" (Wagyu Beef, 2,580 yen tax included) featuring two new wrapping paper designs of Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
With each bento purchased, one original clear file—from five designs that were well-received last year—will be included at random. Customers who pre-order through the web service "Kakiyoyaku" will also receive one original can badge from eight available designs. Can badges are available in limited quantities, so early reservations are encouraged.
Kakiyasu's Mugen Gyunabe Bento with Two New Rengoku Wrapping Designs
The "Mugen Gyunabe Bento" features carefully selected black wagyu beef sourced by Kakiyasu, known for its fine texture, savory richness, and natural sweetness. Each slice of beef is slow-simmered in the in-store kitchen one by one. The bento also includes long green onions, konjac noodles, tofu, and fu (wheat gluten) stamped with the Kakiyasu brand, delivering a satisfying experience that captures the essence of a full gyunabe (beef hot pot).
The bento is a fitting companion to the currently airing TV anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and also serves as a fitting way to celebrate May 10 (Sun), the birthday of Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, whether enjoyed alone while watching the show or shared with fellow fans.
Additionally, a new version of the "Mugen Gyunabe Bento" with new wrapping paper and newly introduced novelties is planned for pre-order in mid-May 2026, with sales in June. Further editions with new wrapping papers and novelties are also planned for summer 2026 and beyond.
