Kawasaki to Launch Supersport Models Ninja ZX-4R SE and Ninja ZX-4RR on August 1, 2026

Kawasaki Motors Japan will release two supersport models, the Ninja ZX-4R SE and the Ninja ZX-4RR, on August 1 (Saturday), 2026.

Ninja ZX-4R SE

The Ninja ZX-4R SE is a 400cc supersport machine built around a 399cm³ liquid-cooled, four-stroke, inline-four engine. Filled with Kawasaki technology, the engine produces a maximum output of 57 kW (77 PS) at 14,500 rpm. A frame developed for light, compact handling combines with front dual-disc brakes and high-performance front and rear suspension units to form a high-caliber component package, delivering strong dynamic performance and handling.

The model is equipped with a TFT color LCD display and an Integrated Riding Mode that combines traction control with power modes, pairing high performance with everyday usability. A smoke windshield, frame slider, and USB power socket are fitted as standard. It is a bike suited to a wide range of riders, from those looking for their first supersport model to seasoned veterans.

The Ninja ZX-4R SE is compatible with RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE. A license is required to enable the voice command and navigation functions, and it is available free of charge.

Compared with the previous model, the main change is to the color and graphics, with the Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray x Metallic Spark Black remaining as the only carryover color.

Ninja ZX-4RR

The Ninja ZX-4RR is another of Kawasaki's supersport models. Its 399cm³ liquid-cooled, four-stroke, inline-four engine is mounted in a lightweight, compact chassis. A combination of a SHOWA SFF-BP front suspension and a BFRC-lite rear shock absorber takes the four-cylinder 399cm³ ride to a higher level. The Ninja ZX-4RR performs strongly on both the circuit and the street, backed by a powerful engine and sharp handling.

Like the SE, this model is compatible with RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE.

Differences from the Ninja ZX-4R SE:

  • "RR" logo graphics
  • Clear windshield (the SE has a smoke windshield)
  • SHOWA BFRC-lite rear shock absorber
  • No frame slider
  • No USB power socket

Compared with the previous Ninja ZX-4RR model, there are no changes to the color, graphics, or main specifications.
