The idle RPG The King of Fighters AFK has received a new update, adding two notable fighters alongside an expansion to the game's formation system.
New Legend Fighter Krizalid Joins the Roster
The update introduces Krizalid as a new Legend Fighter, bringing the [Erosion] synergy to the game. A high-ranking member of the NESTS organization, Krizalid wields flame-based attacks and comes equipped with powerful skills including "Lightning Disaster EX" and "Desperate Overdrive EX."
To coincide with Krizalid's arrival, a "Krizalid Arrival Pickup Summon Event" and an "[Erosion] Synergy Pickup Summon Event" are running until April 30, giving players the chance to add him to their roster.
Omega Rugal Returns as a Special Synergy Fighter
Omega Rugal, the shadowy arms dealer, has made a comeback as a Special Synergy Fighter carrying the [Greed (Special Synergy)] synergy. His Boss Mode trait causes his attack power to rise when struck and reduces the damage he takes in return.
Omega Rugal is exclusively obtainable through [Premium Summon] and the [League Shop].
Story Stage Formation Expanded
The update also expands the number of fighters that can be deployed in story stages, increasing the limit from the previous 5 fighters to a maximum of 9. Additional slots are unlocked progressively based on each player's in-game progress. Synergy effect stages have likewise been expanded, allowing for more powerful and flexible team compositions and opening up new strategic possibilities.
Login Bonus Event Running Through April 30
To celebrate the stage deck expansion, a "Stage Deck Expansion Commemorative Login Bonus" event is running from April 16 to April 30. Players who log in for 7 days during the period can receive rewards including 50 DNA and 2,400 Fighter Origins.
