Netmarble's idle RPG "THE KING OF FIGHTERS Dot Battle" (developed by Netmarble Neo Inc.; hereafter, "KOF Dot Battle") has received a major update introducing the "Fighters Festa" event to mark its 1st anniversary since launch. Running from August 20 to September 17, the update brings a wide range of new content, including a new fighter, growth-related features, and a large-scale renewal of the Team Battle mode.
1st Anniversary "Fighters Festa" Event Begins
During the "Fighters Festa" event, new fighter Kyo Kusanagi (THE KING OF FIGHTERS '98), who carries the [Perseverance] synergy, joins the roster and can be trained up to ★10 for the duration of the event.

As a token of gratitude for the past year, all players will receive a gift of 500,000 Rubies, along with a "1st Anniversary Login Bonus" offering daily rewards. Additional limited-time perks include an increased Legend appearance rate during the featured pickup summon, the "Ruby BACK Event," which returns Rubies based on total purchase amount, and the "Premium Summon Pickup Rate 2x Up! & [Premium Points] 30% Up!" campaign, which increases both the Legend fighter appearance rate and mileage points.
Starting August 27, the "Mini Game Arcade," featuring five mini games that have colored the series' history, will also open.
New Legend Fighter Leona Heidern (KOF XIII) Joins
A new Legend fighter, Leona Heidern (KOF XIII), a mercenary who races across the battlefield with cool composure, joins the roster. She carries the [Rush] synergy.

A limited-time "Leona Heidern (KOF XIII) Pickup Summon Event," through which players can obtain Leona Heidern (KOF XIII), and a "[Rush] Synergy Pickup Summon Event," offering an increased acquisition rate for fighters with the [Rush] synergy, will also run through September 3.
New Growth System "Treasured Item" Introduced & "Athena Asamiya" Rerun Summon
A new system called "Treasured Item" has been introduced, allowing players to enhance a unique item symbolizing each Legend fighter to gain additional stats and effects. A "Come Back!" pickup summon is also being held for fighters receiving Treasured Items, with the first, "Athena Asamiya," available starting August 20. She carries the [Perseverance] synergy.
Large-Scale Renewal of "Team Battle"
The competitive "Team Battle" mode has received a large-scale renewal. The number of fighters that can be fielded has been expanded from 5 to 7, and a new "[Formation] System" has been added, granting team-wide buff effects based on the selected formation type, such as offensive or defensive. In addition, a "Season Buff" feature that changes battle conditions every two weeks has been introduced.
Improvements to Practice Mode also now allow players to experiment with team compositions under the same penalty conditions as actual battles.
Main Stage and Various Dungeon Content Expanded
The progress caps for various content have been raised, including the Main Stage, growth dungeons ("Gold Rush," "Sanctuary of the Void," "City of Wrath," and "Lab of Contradiction"), and the "Influence" training content.
