The iOS/Android side-scrolling action RPG MapleStory M has kicked off a major update to mark its 7th anniversary of service, with the highlight being the introduction of the new job class "Lynn," starting April 16, 2026.
New Job: Lynn
Lynn is a child of the forest who guards the Eternal Forest. Wielding the Memorial Staff imbued with the forest's spirit, Lynn uses powerful magic and healing skills, and can call on the guardian deities — Nong, Fenny, and Paiyan — to provide specialized support to party members.
Exclusive limited illustrations unique to MapleStory M have been prepared to accompany the new job.

Lynn Launch Growth Events
A series of events to support Lynn's growth are running through May 28, 2026, at 9:59 AM (individual event periods vary).
Lynn 1+2 Terra Burning Event
Setting a Lynn character below level 230 for Terra Burning grants +2 additional levels with each level-up. For the first time in Terra Burning history, characters can level all the way to 230 in one burst. An "All Jobs Terra Burning" running simultaneously allows all other character types to participate as well.
Lynn Item Burning Event
In addition to character leveling, this event allows weapons to grow rapidly. Simply registering for the event instantly grants a Legendary weapon, and completing all dedicated missions can power it up to a [Lv140 Legendary Weapon / Star Force ★25 / Unique Potential / Soul Gem equipped] setup.
Lynn Growth Share Event
During the event, registering a character for Growth Sharing rewards that character with experience, limited damage skins, and various growth items each time Lynn reaches certain level milestones.
Lynn Level Achievement Event
By leveling Lynn to 230 through Terra Burning and other events, players can receive special rewards at each milestone along the way.
Major Update Highlights
New Boss: Dusk
A new boss called Dusk has been added — an entity formed from the lingering thoughts of a dark mage, powerful enough to strike fear into all living things. Defeating Dusk gives players the chance to obtain the accessory "Terrifying Fear."
New Area: Tenebris
The new area "Tenebris: Moonbridge" is now accessible to characters level 245 and above, accompanied by new Arcane Force fields, quests, and monster collection entries.
New Dungeon: Forest of Elda
Available to characters level 220 and above, the Forest of Elda dungeon offers large amounts of experience for each monster defeated. Entering with the dungeon-exclusive item "Light of Memory" grants buffs of +1,300% EXP, +150 Arcane Force, and +30% attack power. Light of Memory can be purchased in the shop or charged once per day for free for one hour.
7th Anniversary Event: "Invitation from the Bosses"
Running through June 17, 2026, at 9:59 AM (individual event periods vary)
To celebrate the 7th anniversary, various boss-themed events have been set up for players. Participating earns the event currency "7th Anniversary Boss Invitation Coins," which can be exchanged for limited anniversary items.
7th Anniversary Coin Drop Event
Defeating monsters in designated fields and dungeons during the event has a chance to drop event coins, up to a maximum of 300 per day.
7th Anniversary Coin Pass Event
As accumulated event coins increase, rewards can be claimed across up to 8 stages — with more valuable prizes at higher tiers. A "Coin Pass+" option is also available for additional rewards.
Magnus's Sparta! Training
Players use left/right movement and dash buttons to collect gems falling from above within a time limit. Meteors also fall, reducing life on impact — the goal is to maintain all 3 lives while aiming for a high score.
Trading with the Bosses
Characters level 100 and above can take on event missions to earn "Powerful Aura," which can be used to obtain and strengthen various buffs.
Lion King's Special Support
Completing missions from the Lion King — both standard and special — rewards players with 600 event coins and various growth support items.
Finding Hilla's Accessories
Defeating monsters in fields and dungeons during the event can yield "Hilla's Accessories." Collecting them to complete daily achievements earns event coins and other rewards.
7th Anniversary Boss Invitation Coin Shop
The coin shop offers collected event coins in exchange for damage skins, chairs, growth items, and more.
Quality-of-Life Updates
- Practice mode added, allowing players to challenge all boss difficulties.
- Experience required for leveling has been reduced by up to 45%, alongside broader experience structure changes.
- EXP and mesos earned from Arcane Force fields have increased.
- Star Force enhancement requirements for weapons, armor, and sub-weapons have been improved.
- Boss accessory drop rates have been adjusted.
- Rest rewards have been improved.
- Multi-ticket consumption added to Dimension Invade, with maximum multi-consumption limits raised for some content.
7th Anniversary Special Random Pack
The "7th Anniversary Special Random Pack" contains items such as the "Mystic Sub-Weapon Change Scroll," "Star Force ★30 Enhancement Scroll Exchange Voucher (50%)," "SSS Grade Jewel Selection Box Exchange Voucher," and "Absolabs Selection Box." A "Fever Gacha" system fills a gauge with each purchase; when maxed, S and SS rank appearance rates double.
