About Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express
The TV anime Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express (12 episodes) is a sequel to the short 3D anime 『ミルキー☆ハイウェイ』, which Yohei Kameyama (亀山陽平), then a student at a vocational school for video production, released on YouTube in 2022 as his graduation project. The TV series aired from July to September 2025. Its distinctive world and its approachable, charming characters, together with a slightly surreal yet lively storyline that is hard to resist, have won over many viewers. The total views of the official YouTube channel passed 290 million (as of July 2026).
『銀河特急 ミルキー☆サブウェイ 各駅停車劇場行き』, a theatrical anime with new scenes added, opened on February 6, 2026, and has passed a cumulative 410,000 admissions and ¥550 million at the box office (as of May 2026). 『臨時増発 ミルキー☆サブウェイ 各駅停車劇場行き』, with further new scenes added, opened in theaters on June 12, 2026, with MX4D and 4DX versions screened at the same time. Its cumulative box office has passed ¥600 million (as of July 2026).
