Netmarble has released a new update for its smartphone and PC action RPG MONGIL: STAR DIVE (developed by Netmarble Monster Inc.), adding new 5★ character Vivian along with a limited-time event, new story content, and an update roadmap for the months ahead.
Popular Character Vivian Finally Joins the Roster
Vivian topped the character popularity poll for the original title, Monster Taming, held during pre-registration, and is an enormously popular character. In MONGIL: STAR DIVE, she appears with a new look as the headline bunny girl performer of the theatrical troupe "Fluffy Tales," which captivates audiences with its glamorous performances.
Vivian is a Fire-attribute 5★ support character built around strengthening Fire-attribute parties. She increases Fire damage output and inflicts Fire-attribute weakening (debuff) effects on enemies, significantly boosting the combat abilities of allies who share her attribute.
To celebrate this update, a three-week special event, "Moonlight Bunny Show," is now underway. Completing missions and event stages rewards players with event-exclusive items that can be exchanged for summon tickets, growth materials, and other rewards. A new epic quest, "Desire Collector," has also been added, letting players dive deeper into Vivian's story.
Update Roadmap Through Ver. 1.6 Revealed
A developer roundtable livestream on September 2 revealed the update roadmap for the months ahead.
Ver. 1.4, scheduled for September 30 (Wednesday), adds Episode 7 and the new area, ガバー諸島, along with a character rerun pickup celebrating the game's half-anniversary (0.5th anniversary) and a variety of special events.
Ver. 1.5 is planned to bring a renewed friend system and the introduction of "Honor Rewards" for the ranking system. Ver. 1.6 is set to add a special Christmas & New Year story and character epilogues, along with the highly requested "affinity and social content," to be rolled out in stages.
