KONAMI Arcade Games is launching a collaboration event between their arcade video card game Monster Retsuden ORECA BATTLE 2 and the anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, beginning January 15, 2026 (Thursday).
Monster Retsuden ORECA BATTLE 2 is the sequel to Monster Retsuden ORECA BATTLE, which was released in 2012. This video card game allows players to battle using their personalized "ORECA" cards featuring their player names, collect unique monsters, and enjoy character development.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Collaboration Details
Event Period: January 15, 2026 (Thursday) 10:00 AM to April 15, 2026 (Wednesday) 9:59 AM
During the collaboration period, Frieren, the main character from the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, appears in Monster Retsuden ORECA BATTLE 2. Players can obtain the exclusive card "Wandering Frieren" by scanning a special card included with CoroCoro Comic magazine at the game machine. This card can be used in battles and leveled up.
Additionally, players can power up their Frieren card to "Funeral Frieren" by using items obtained from battling the special boss "Funeral Frieren" that appears during the event period.
The collaboration also includes limited-time purchasable in-game items such as "Key Decorations" to customize the data-saving "Record Key," and "Powder" to decorate your favorite ORECA cards.

How to Obtain the Frieren ORECA Card
The collaboration-exclusive card can be obtained as a supplement with CoroCoro Comic February Issue, released by Shogakukan on January 15, 2026 (Thursday).
"Wandering Frieren" ★2
This card features Frieren, the main character from the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. The "Wandering Frieren" card is exclusively available as a magazine supplement.
When scanned at the game machine, this card can be summoned into battles as a monster. Once converted into an ORECA card, the word "Wandering" will be replaced with the player's name, creating a personalized card.
*Note: This card will also be available with CoroCoro Comic March Issue and April Issue.
New Chapter Release: Chapter 4 - Scorching Invasion
Alongside the collaboration, Chapter 4 "Scorching Invasion" will be unlocked on January 15, 2026 (Thursday).
Chapter 4 features a "Demon" theme, introducing over 30 monsters including popular monsters from the previous title and new monsters from the current game, further enhancing the depth of battles.
