A new pop-up shop built around a MYAKU-MYAKU picture book is opening on the 2nd floor of ShinQs by TOKYU DEPARTMENT STORE inside Shibuya Hikarie, from September 3 (Thu) to September 16 (Wed), 2026. The shop sells 24 kinds of official Expo 2025 licensed goods planned and produced by Felissimo, including items inspired by the picture book "MYAKU-MYAKUと… MYAKU-MYAKU誕生ものがたり," illustrated by MYAKU-MYAKU's designer, Kohei Yamashita. The venue also hosts Kanto's first exhibition of prints from the picture book, and offers a limited-quantity chance to exchange a purchased copy of the book for one signed by Yamashita.
Merchandise Inspired by the Picture Book
Kohei Yamashita, who designed MYAKU-MYAKU, created the picture book "MYAKU-MYAKUと… MYAKU-MYAKU誕生ものがたり." The shop sells items based on memorable scenes from the book, such as MYAKU-MYAKU floating happily inside a droplet, MYAKU-MYAKU gradually changing shape as it evolves, and MYAKU-MYAKU imagining the many forms it could take.

A partial selection: acrylic keyholder ¥1,210 / face towel ¥2,750 / flake stickers and masking tape ¥1,430 (all prices tax included).
Kanto's First Print Exhibition of the Picture Book
The shop also holds Kanto's first exhibition of prints from "MYAKU-MYAKUと… MYAKU-MYAKU誕生ものがたり." Visitors can view the artwork up close alongside commentary written by Yamashita himself, offering a different way to enjoy the book's world than reading it on the page.

"MYAKU-MYAKUと… MYAKU-MYAKU誕生ものがたり" ¥2,200 (tax included).
Limited Signed-Copy Exchange
The picture book is also sold at the shop. The first 50 customers whose purchase — including the picture book — totals ¥8,000 or more (tax included) in a single transaction can exchange their standard-edition copy for one signed by Kohei Yamashita. The offer ends once the signed copies run out.
Only purchases of ¥8,000 or more in a single visit qualify. Even customers who buy multiple copies of the picture book can exchange for at most one signed copy, and the offer is limited to once per person.
Also Available: MYAKU-MYAKU Photo Book and More
The shop also carries other official Expo 2025 licensed products planned or published by Felissimo, including MYAKU-MYAKU's first photo book, "I myaku you.," and ふんばるず, a plush toy designed to support your posture, along with fluffy bangs clips. Quantities are limited for each item.

A partial selection: MYAKU-MYAKU's first photo book "I myaku you." ¥3,960 / ふんばるず (a posture-supporting plush) ¥4,400 / fluffy bangs clip ¥1,650 (all prices tax included).

About the Picture Book

Title: MYAKU-MYAKUと… MYAKU-MYAKU誕生ものがたり
Author: Kohei Yamashita
Size: 210 × 210 mm
Format: 36 pages, full color
Publisher: Felissimo Publishing
Price: ¥2,000 before tax (¥2,200 tax included)
The book took three years to plan and is entirely newly illustrated. It also includes a booklet explaining Yamashita's design process, along with an original MYAKU-MYAKU postcard.
Special Bonus: Specially Finished Original Postcards
As a special bonus, the book comes with three original MYAKU-MYAKU postcards illustrated by Yamashita. A thick layer of clear varnish is applied over the illustrations to add gloss and dimension, giving MYAKU-MYAKU a raised, slightly bumpy texture to the touch — finished so it can be displayed as interior art.

About the Illustrator: Kohei Yamashita
Born in Kumamoto in 1971 and raised in Kobe, Kohei Yamashita studied fine arts at Hyogo Prefectural Akashi High School and at Osaka University of Arts. Under the name "Mountain Mountain," he works mainly on graphic and character design, while under his own name he creates picture books and children's books, including "ちびクワくん" and "きょうりゅうゆうえんち." Through a public competition, he won the top prize for the official character design of the 2025 Japan International Exposition (Expo 2025), and created MYAKU-MYAKU's character design, illustration, and concept, including its design guidelines, background profile, and costume design.
