Newly Revealed Divine Spirits
As Eugene journeys through the Land of Bou, he encounters "Divine Spirits" — animals capable of speech. Communicating with them provides clues about the land and hints toward finding a way home. Several previously unannounced spirits have now been revealed.
Weasel Spirit — CV: Jun Inoue

A weasel spirit encountered along the journey. Deeply principled, yet always carrying a smoldering anger within. Bears an intense hatred toward Bou, the force that is destroying this land.
Pangolin Spirit — CV: Toru Nara

A pangolin spirit encountered along the journey. Quiet and timid by nature, preferring to avoid conflict. Loves to hide — and is usually found tucked inside a trash can.
Bear Spirit — CV: Kenta Miyake

A bear spirit encountered along the journey. Caring, bold, and deeply loyal, radiating an air of quiet authority. Eugene and his companions find him in a state where Bou's attacks have left him on the verge of losing his memories.
Fish Spirit — CV: Sanae Kobayashi

A fish spirit encountered along the journey. Unsure of what has bound them, sinking into sorrow and self-blame. The gentle way the Fish Spirit treats Eugene may be an attempt to fill some unresolved regret from a distant memory.
Bull Spirit — CV: Hinata Tadokoro

A bull spirit encountered along the journey. Boasts a massive frame as tall as a ten-story building. One horn is broken partway through, and scars mark the body throughout. Seems to harbor fierce anger toward a figure known as the King.
Butterfly Spirit — CV: ???

A butterfly spirit encountered along the journey. Its wings are even thinner than a cicada's — so delicate they seem as though they might vanish at any moment.
New Game Elements
Three previously unannounced elements add further depth to the mysteries of the Land of Bou.
The King

The Divine Spirits speak frequently of a figure known as "the King." It has been years since the King left for the "Nameless Town" and never returned. The spirits' feelings toward the King vary — some harbor anger, others nostalgia, and some wish to restore their bond.
Sacred Brazier

"Sacred Braziers" are scattered throughout the Land of Bou, serving as sites for dialogue with the Divine Spirits. Eugene encounters these braziers at various points during the adventure. Solving the trials presented by a Sacred Brazier yields important items needed to progress the journey. Offering "seeds" gathered during the adventure can also unlock items that support Eugene along the way — such as camera maintenance tools and special filters. Fulfilling the individual wishes of the spirits at the Sacred Brazier gradually unravels mysteries surrounding both Eugene and the spirits themselves.
Sacred Fire Script

Mysterious ancient characters inscribed across various locations throughout the Land of Bou. Deciphering them may lead to uncovering the truth behind this world.
About OPUS: Prism Peak

One click of the shutter, and it's goodbye.
While returning home, protagonist Eugene suddenly finds himself lost in a fantastical world. There, he meets a mysterious girl — and discovers a camera he had long given up on, back in his hands.
"I want to go to the top of that mountain —"
The journey begins as Eugene and the girl set out together, using the camera's viewfinder to uncover hidden mysteries and search for a way back home.
Characters
Protagonist: Eugene (CV: Shin'ichiro Miki)

The game's protagonist. Eugene once worked as a photojournalist and later ran a café. Forty years old, divorced, with a slightly cynical streak. While making a long-awaited trip back to his hometown, he is caught in an accident and suddenly finds himself lost in the mysterious Land of Bou. He sets out with the mysterious girl in search of a way back to the real world.
Mysterious Girl Ren (CV: Kana Ichinose)

A girl suffering from amnesia whom Eugene meets in the Land of Bou. Full of energy and innocence, she occasionally comes across as a bit cheeky — but at heart she is kind, and cannot bring herself to ignore those in need.
All she holds onto is the wish to return to a home at the foot of the towering mountain that rises over the Land of Bou. She sets off with Eugene to reach the summit.
Story and World
The Land of Bou

The world into which Eugene stumbles. Somehow familiar yet distinctly different from reality, this beautiful world shows signs of quietly crumbling in places, upon closer inspection.
The Lurking Threat

A threat pursues Eugene as he travels the Land of Bou — a massive presence shrouded in murky red-black. What could it be?
Gameplay Features
Photography System

A camera is used to capture and record the world. From sweeping landscapes to the animal-formed Divine Spirits, each one-of-a-kind encounter can be photographed however the player sees fit. Travel, shoot, and gradually unravel the world's mysteries.
Interacting with the Divine Spirits

In the strange world Eugene finds himself in, speaking animals known as "Divine Spirits" roam. They are slowly losing their memories; their bodies grow transparent and their very existence begins to fade. Some can no longer even remember their own names.
Photographing the spirits restores their "memories." These interactions with the enigmatic spirits become the clues Eugene needs to find his way home.
A Notebook to Help Uncover the Truth

A battered notebook marked with strange characters. Recording photographs taken and information gained through interactions with the spirits gradually brings the truth to light — and may hold the key to understanding what the Land of Bou truly is.
Other Divine Spirits
In addition to the spirits introduced above, five more Divine Spirits appear in the game.
