What Is PATLABOR the Case Files?
The game is a 3D action title for PS5 and PC that lets players relive many of Patlabor's most memorable scenes.
- Missions playable from the perspective of both Special Vehicles Section 2 and the side confronting them
- Over 20 Labors appear, from the Ingram to the Griffon and the Type Zero, all pilotable
- A simulator mode for shooting practice and Labor-vs-Labor battles
These and other experiences unique to this game await players.
Synopsis
Labors: a general term for robots developed for industrial use.
They spread widely in the construction and civil engineering fields, but crimes involving Labors also surged.
The Metropolitan Police Department countered this by establishing the Special Vehicles Section 2 Patrol Labor Company.
This was the birth of what came to be known as "Patlabor."

Produced Under Full Supervision from the Original Staff
The game is produced under the supervision of Yutaka Izubuchi (mechanical design supervisor), Kazunori Ito (script supervisor), and Akemi Takada (character art supervisor), the same team behind the original. It also features game-original Special Vehicles Section 2 characters in summer uniforms.
An "Ingram Plus" DLC from Patlabor EZY Is in Development
An "Ingram Plus" DLC based on Patlabor EZY, a three-part theatrical release whose second installment is currently playing, is in development. Updates will be announced on the official Mecha Smile X account, so be sure to follow along.
PATLABOR the Case Files Exhibiting at Tokyo Game Show 2026
PATLABOR the Case Files will be shown at the Happinet booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe. A special Good Smile Company area will be set up within the Happinet booth, offering hands-on play sessions and screenings of the latest promotional video.
Visitors who try the game at the demo stations will also receive an original PATLABOR the Case Files sticker.
