Capcom's brand-new IP, the sci-fi action adventure PRAGMATA, has surpassed 1 million copies sold worldwide just two days after its global release on April 17, 2026.
PRAGMATA is set on the near-future lunar surface and follows the adventures of Hugh Williams and Diana, an android girl. Developed primarily by a team of young staff, the game blends action gameplay with puzzle elements and features a distinctive world ruled by AI.
As a completely new IP with no existing fan base or brand recognition, the team employed a range of marketing initiatives to reach a broad audience — including an early release of a playable demo. In addition, the game launched across multiple platforms as part of Capcom's multi-platform strategy, with Nintendo Switch 2 support added at an early stage to expand access to as wide a player base as possible. These efforts paid off, with 1 million worldwide sales achieved within just two days of release.
