A rosé wine made by Roger Taylor, drummer of the internationally renowned rock band Queen, which has a long list of hit songs, will soon arrive in Japan. On Sunday, October 18, 2026, a launch event titled 徹底的にロジャー・テイラー will be held at the live house gee-ge. in Shibuya, offering the earliest paid tasting of the wine in Japan.
Roger Taylor says of the wine, "The Queen Côtes de Provence Rosé I made is not simply a wine with Queen's name and logo on the label. Born from a desire to 'make a truly good wine' together with trusted partners, it is a rosé created by sincerely working with Provence's producers and pursuing quality and flavor." The wine is attracting attention not only from music fans but also from wine lovers.
Queen Côtes de Provence Rosé is a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Cinsault. It is reportedly characterized by an aroma reminiscent of wild strawberries and ripe red berries, with a full fruitiness in harmony with refreshing citrus acidity, a smooth mouthfeel, and both delicacy and depth.
