Rayman Legends Retold, a reimagining of the 2013 platformer/2D action game Rayman Legends, has been announced at Sony's State of Play event. The title is scheduled to launch on October 1, 2026 (Thursday) for Ubisoft+, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2™, GeForce NOW, Blacknut, and PC (Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and Epic Games Store).

New Stages and Offline Co-op
Rayman Legends Retold is being developed primarily by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan. Built upon the foundation of the original 2013 release, the game features 3D visuals, a new story, and fully voiced cinematics to bring the dream world to life in a fresh way. Players join Rayman, Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus, and Murfy on an adventure to restore peace to the dream world against enemies threatening to plunge it into chaos.
In addition to solo play, the game supports offline co-op for up to four players. The gameplay centers on fast-paced platforming action using jumps, gliding, and punches. A brand-new sixth world, grand boss battles, and hidden Teensie rescues round out the adventure.
New Features and Enhanced Gameplay
Alongside stages carried over from the original game, Rayman Legends Retold adds a thrilling dragon-riding stage, a "Trial Cave" challenge mode, and four new music stages. The rebuilt dream world promises greater immersion, with new characters and various surprises along the way.
Kung Foot also makes a return with upgrades — improved controls, power-ups, and customizable rules allow for even more intense matches. The soundtrack features beloved original themes alongside new music composed by Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope.

Editions and Pre-order Bonuses
Rayman Legends Retold is available in Standard and Deluxe digital editions, along with a separate Deluxe Upgrade Pack. All editions include Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition — the iconic 2D platformer adventure updated with 4K/60fps support, new collectibles and rewards, haptic feedback for compatible controllers, and other convenience improvements.
Players who pre-order any edition will receive the "Hoodlum Havoc" pack, which includes two costumes for Rayman and Globox inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
