Stamp Rally in Shisui Town, Japan's Oldest Continuously Operating Town, Launches January 10 to May 6, 2026

Four facilities in Shisui Town, Inba District, Chiba Prefecture—Iinumahonke (106 Mahashi, Shisui Town), Shisui Premium Outlets (2-4-1 Iizumi, Shisui Town), Shisui Onsen Yura no Sato (1-1-1 Iizumi, Shisui Town), and Marugoto Shisui (2-8-2 Iizumi, Shisui Town)—are collaborating to host the "Shisui Town Gurutto Stamp Rally" from Saturday, January 10, to Wednesday, May 6, 2026 (holiday).

Shisui Town was established with the enforcement of the municipal system in 1889 (Meiji 22) and has continued independently without any mergers, making it "Japan's oldest continuously operating town." The town prospered through agriculture and sake brewing from the Edo period and celebrated its 135th anniversary last year. With a population exceeding 20,000, excellent transportation access, a 300-year-old sake brewery, fresh agricultural products, hot springs, and brand-name shopping, Shisui offers diverse attractions.

The stamp rally was planned through collaboration among the four facilities to promote the appeal of the Shisui area and encourage tourism and circulation within the town. First held in 2020, this marks the fourth edition of the event. Participants receive stamps on rally cards when they shop or use services at the participating facilities. Those who collect two stamps receive an original sticker, three stamps earn a novelty set from each facility, and those who collect all four stamps receive a deluxe prize set. The special prize set includes items such as "Yuzu Cider" and glasses from Iinumahonke, butter peanuts made with Shisui-grown peanuts from Marugoto Shisui, a sauna mat from Shisui Onsen Yura no Sato, and a coupon sheet for special offers at select stores at Shisui Premium Outlets—a generous assortment of rewards.

For a casual day trip drive without too much planning, please visit Shisui Town.
