Sirotan Funwari Store Pop-Up Opens Inside JR Ikebukuro Station from October 27

A limited-time pop-up store for the character Sirotan, the "Sirotan Funwari Store" (しろたんふんわりストア), will be held at the event space outside the South Ticket Gate of JR Ikebukuro Station from Tuesday, October 27 to Monday, November 9, 2026. The store will feature the store-exclusive "Sirotan Diner" series.

Sirotan, an original character that has been loved by many people since its debut in 1999, began airing as a TV anime on TV Asahi on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The anime follows Sirotan (voiced by Aoi Yuki) and a cast of distinctive friends in a gentle, fluffy world, and since the broadcast began it has drawn a big response on social media, with viewers calling it "the ultimate healing anime that blows away a week's fatigue." It airs every Saturday at 4:29 PM on TV Asahi.

By setting up a touchpoint at JR Ikebukuro Station, where many people come and go, the pop-up aims to spread awareness of Sirotan among people who first discovered the character through the anime and to expand its fan base. It is a place where visitors can pick up the lovable plush toys, mascots, and other goods of Sirotan and friends seen moving on screen. Longtime fans and newcomers alike can enjoy a relaxing "calm space" (なごみ空間) that fits into the moments of everyday life.
