Kakao Games Corp. (CEO: Han Sangwoo) announced on February 19 that the official service for SMiniz, a new casual puzzle game utilizing SM Entertainment's IP (intellectual property), will begin on February 25.
SMiniz is a mobile casual game featuring small characters called "Miniz" modeled after SM Entertainment artists, allowing players to enjoy Match-3 puzzles with their favorite characters. The official service version will be playable in Japanese, Korean, English, and Chinese.
Pre-Registration Until February 23
Pre-registration is available until February 23 on the Apple Store and Google Play. SMiniz pre-registration is being held in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, North America, Europe, and other countries. Those who complete pre-registration will receive a "CD Gacha Ticket" (gacha that allows you to obtain photo cards or pieces of artists belonging to the selected group) that can be used in-game after the official service launch.
Special events offering artist special cards in-game are also planned to commemorate the official service launch.
Positive Reception from Global Closed Beta Test
At the SMiniz experience event held during "SMTOWN LIVE 2025-26 in FUKUOKA," many SM fans played SMiniz and showed great interest. Additionally, the Global CBT (Closed Beta Test) conducted in December last year received attention for its diverse content utilizing SM Entertainment's IP, based on "the fun of an easy-to-enjoy puzzle game," including:
- Photo card collection reflecting fandom culture
- "Photo Deco" and "My Room" customizable to personal preferences
- Costumes reproducing artists' actual activity concepts
