A new collectible card series called SQUARE ENIX GALLERY CARDS has arrived from Square Enix.
Details of the series' first release, SQUARE ENIX GALLERY CARDS Vol. 1: FINAL FANTASY "40th Anniversary" Collection, are now available, and pre-orders have opened today.
The stories of heroes woven across countless worlds, now in your hands.
The series collects some of Square Enix's most memorable scenes and characters as beautifully illustrated art cards.
Each card is a fragment of a grand story. As the fragments you collect come together, the worlds and memories you once encountered become one, forming a small museum of beautiful artwork.

As the first release in SQUARE ENIX GALLERY CARDS, this pack celebrates the 40th anniversary of FINAL FANTASY.
The key visual on the package features a newly drawn illustration of Y'shtola from FINAL FANTASY XIV, and the set includes numerous cards depicting characters and memorable scenes from across the FINAL FANTASY series.
Also included is the Ultima Legend Rare Card (UTL), a special card bearing artist Yoshitaka Amano's digital signature and a serial number.
The lineup also features the Phantom Legend Rare Card (PTL), made using Japan's latest hologram and printing technology, and the Harmonic Rare Card (HR), which has a built-in NFC chip that lets you enjoy music on compatible devices — playful gimmicks that make this a deluxe pack unique to collectible cards.

The cards will be on display at the SQUARE ENIX SHOP booth at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026, held at Makuhari Messe from September 17 (Thursday) to 21 (Monday, holiday), 2026. Card designs not yet revealed as of today, along with details of the higher-rarity cards, can be viewed in person, so be sure to stop by if you're attending.
