Taito Corporation is releasing the first console game based on The Detective Is Already Dead, the popular light novel series published by KADOKAWA under the MF Bunko J imprint. The game, titled The Detective Is Already Dead, is coming to Nintendo Switch™ and was announced in celebration of the anime adaptation's fifth anniversary.

The Detective Is Already Dead is a light novel series written by Nigojuu with illustrations by Umibouzu, published by KADOKAWA's MF Bunko J label. The second season of the TV anime is scheduled to air in July 2026.
