Keiko Takemiya's signature work Toward the Terra is being released as a three-volume "Eternal Collector's Edition." Volume 1 goes on sale on September 30, 2026, from Shogakukan Creative.
Toward the Terra has been adapted into anime twice. To mark its 50th anniversary, it is being revived as a definitive edition, featuring rescanned original art, all of the color pages from its original serialization, and a newly drawn essay manga at the back of the book.
Volume 2 is scheduled for release on October 30, and Volume 3 on November 27.
Synopsis
In a future universe where computers manage everything, the "Mu," a new breed of humans with psychic powers, are persecuted as outsiders. Fleeing their human pursuers and wandering through space, the Mu dream of returning to their faraway homeland, "Terra" (Earth).
