The TV anime Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs Season 2 has its premiere date confirmed as July 8, 2026 (Wednesday). The second season will broadcast on AT-X, TOKYO MX, and BS Nittele, with advance streaming also set for ABEMA and d Anime Store.
Alongside the premiere announcement, the second key visual — drawn by character designer Masahiko Suzuki — has been unveiled. Featuring protagonist Leon along with Olivia, Angelica, and Marie from the Holfort Kingdom's academy, the visual also includes Hertlinde, the first princess of the Fanoss Principality, and the Black Knight Vandel — both of whom caused trouble for Leon during the school trip in Season 1. A new character, Hertlrauda (Hertlinde's younger sister and second princess), also makes her visual debut.

Newly drawn character design illustrations have been revealed for Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs Season 2. The third round of character profiles introduces Kyle, Milene, Hertlinde, Hertlrauda, and Vandel. New character Hertlrauda will be voiced by Yui Ogura.

An elven boy who serves as Marie's attendant. He has a prickly younger-sibling-type personality and doesn't hold back from criticizing even his mistress Marie.
Milene

The queen of the Holfort Kingdom and mother of Julius. She radiates beauty, elegance, and the dignity befitting a queen, though she occasionally finds herself blushing at Leon's behavior.
Hertlinde

The first princess of the Fanoss Principality. After failing to attack Leon and his group during the school trip, she is now enrolled as an exchange student at the kingdom's academy. She uses a Lost Item magic flute to control monsters. Though she projects a cool exterior, her hatred toward the kingdom runs deep.

The second princess of the Fanoss Principality and Hertlinde's younger sister. She intends to accomplish what her elder sister could not, and plots revenge against the kingdom while her sister studies abroad.

The greatest hero of the Fanoss Principality, known as the "Black Knight." Fiercely loyal to the Principality and driven by a desire for revenge against the kingdom, he pilots armored mechs wielding a greatsword and once pushed Leon to his limits.
Story
Leon, a former working adult who was reincarnated into the world of an otome game with a sword-and-magic setting, finds himself in a society of extreme female supremacy. His only weapon is the knowledge of the game — which he was forced to play by his sister in his previous life. Using that knowledge, he navigated an unjust world and, through his relationships with Olivia (who was meant to be the heroine) and Angelica (who was meant to be the villain), built genuine bonds. Despite persistent interference from Marie — who took over the protagonist role — Leon eventually rose to the rank of Viscount.
However, Leon's actions significantly altered the game's intended story, and the world has begun to show signs of distortion. Now recruited into the Holy Maiden Guard following Marie's appointment as Holy Maiden, Leon is drawn into a conspiracy that threatens the very foundations of the Holfort Kingdom.
