The Vespa LX V Special Edition is a special version of the LX 125, the lightest and most compact model in the current Vespa lineup, with added vintage-style touches. Piaggio Group Japan will open orders on October 23, 2026 (Friday) at authorized Vespa dealers nationwide.
The Vespa LX debuted in 2005 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vespa's birth. Its style, which blends timeless Italian design with modern engineering, and its nimble ride have won over many people around the world and made it a cultural icon. Production has continued on the strength of its enduring popularity, and through steady refinements the LX has remained an essential part of the brand over the past 20 years.
In this 80th anniversary year for Vespa, the V Special Edition adds a new page to that story. It keeps the small, endearing silhouette that is unique to the LX while taking on a more contemporary urban look, combining Vespa tradition with easy everyday handling and usability.

Design That Brings Out Individuality
The V Special Edition presents the appeal of the LX in a fresh way. Alongside a refined color palette, tone-on-tone details are carefully combined on the grip rubbers, seat and footrest rubbers, giving the scooter an eye-catching style that subtly conveys the rider's individuality and elegance.
The newly designed low seat has a seat height of 780 mm, which takes foot reach into consideration. It makes getting on and off easy and offers a ride that feels approachable for everyone. An exclusive split design divides the seating surface into separate sections for the rider and the passenger, and its elegant, vintage-inspired look goes hand in hand with comfort for two.
Three iconic accessories come as standard to complete the Vespa look: a chrome-finished front rack, a chrome-finished rear rack and a windshield. The front and rear racks are handy for carrying luggage, while the windshield softens the wind while riding, adding both comfort and design appeal.
With its distinctive design, thoughtful details and ease of use, the model turns everyday trips into stylish self-expression. It offers a new interpretation of the Vespa icon for riders who glide through the city with an ever-youthful sensibility.
Headlamp
The round headlamp that defines the front view is an iconic element that has long been familiar in Vespa's design history. The LX's LED headlamp improves daytime visibility and presence to surrounding traffic, and it also secures a clear view on cloudy days, in the shade and inside tunnels.

Instrument Panel
The instrument panel combines analog and digital elements in a design where tradition and innovation blend comfortably. The LCD display at the bottom shows the information needed for riding, such as the odometer, trip meter, fuel level and clock, in an easy-to-read way.
Immobilizer (Anti-Theft System)
An immobilizer chip is built into the ignition key. When the key is removed, the system activates automatically, and the engine will not start unless the genuine key is detected. By disabling the engine management system, it helps prevent unauthorized use and theft, and its operating status can be checked at a glance from a dedicated warning light that blinks on the dashboard.
Highly Visible Rear-View Mirror
Instead of the common aluminum coating, the rear-view mirror uses a chrome-coated reflective layer on the back of the glass. This prevents corrosion and oxidation even in hot, humid climates. It also softens the glare of headlights from vehicles behind, helping keep the view ahead clear when riding at night.
