New items in the Harry Potter Birthday Collection will go on sale on June 8, 2026 (Monday) at Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter's shop, Harry Potter Shop Harajuku, and Harry Potter Shop Akasaka. Some items are available online a day earlier, on June 7 (Sunday), through Harry Potter Shop Online Japan.
The collection draws its motif from the pink-and-green birthday cake Hagrid bakes for Harry in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone—the one bearing the charmingly misspelled message "HAPPEE BIRTHDAE HARRY." The lineup spans apparel, accessories, and everyday goods.
To mark Harry's birthday on July 31, Frog Cafe inside Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo will also sell a miniature version of that famous birthday cake from July 18 (Saturday) to July 31 (Friday).
The Story Behind the Birthday Cake
Hogwarts accepts students starting at age eleven. When Harry received his acceptance letter on his eleventh birthday, Hagrid arrived in person to deliver it—and brought along a homemade birthday cake. Though the lettering was off, the gesture embodied Hagrid's warmhearted nature. The pink-and-green color scheme of that cake has become one of the more beloved design motifs in the franchise.
