The open-world wuxia ARPG Where Winds Meet received its second major update, "Sunrise over the Palace," on May 28, now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms.
At the same time, it was announced that Yuen Woo-ping — a globally recognized action director and martial arts choreographer — has officially joined the game as global action consultant.
Yuen Woo-ping is known for his action choreography on films such as The Matrix, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Kill Bill, and Kung Fu Hustle. His involvement is set to further elevate the wuxia action sequences in Where Winds Meet.
His stunt and kung fu film team, the Yuen Clan, will also participate in the game's motion capture sessions. Upcoming martial arts additions include drunken fist, spear techniques, and staff techniques, each developed with his expertise to enhance the fluidity and impact of in-game combat.
In "Sunrise over the Palace," players explore a mysterious imperial court, pursuing hidden treasures, uncovering palace conspiracies, and discovering the secrets surrounding the Song dynasty's supreme power.
