Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. (headquartered in Suginami-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Satoshi Kono) is releasing the Blu-ray Volume 1 (Special Limited Edition) of TV anime Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2, which aired from April through June 2026, on August 26, 2026, priced at ¥22,000 (tax included). Volume 2 is scheduled to follow on November 27.

Bundled extras include a special booklet, Volume 1, featuring a storyboard of the opening sequence by general director Tatsuya Yoshihara, assorted setting materials, and the first half of an original short story written by series author Fujino Omori. A special voice drama (1 CD), adapted from that short story, is also included.

Story
Will is a struggling student at a school for mages who cannot use magic. To keep a promise to his childhood friend Elfaria, he sets his sights on becoming one of the "Magia Vander," the pinnacle of mages, wielding a sword in place of a staff and gradually earning recognition within the academy. During a joint dungeon training exercise alongside top student Liana and others, the group is ambushed by a mysterious mage but narrowly fights them off, and Will finally faces his graduation exam. Will he be able to reach the girl waiting for him in the tower?

About TV Anime Wistoria: Wand and Sword
Wistoria: Wand and Sword is a school fantasy manga written by Fujino Omori, known for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, with dynamic artwork by rising manga artist Toshi Aoi. The series has been adapted into a TV anime through a joint production by Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures. Season 1 (episodes 1 through 12) aired in 2024, and Season 2 (episodes 13 through 24) aired from April through June 2026. Production of a third season has now been confirmed.
