Fuji Shibazakura Festival - A Carpet of Colorful Moss Phlox in Full Bloom

The Fuji Shibazakura Festival, held every spring at Fuji Motosuko Resort in Yamanashi Prefecture, is one of the Tokyo metropolitan area's largest floral events where approximately 500,000 vibrant moss phlox plants bloom in full glory against the backdrop of Mount Fuji, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Since its inaugural event in 2008, this festival has become a beloved spring tradition, attracting numerous visitors from both Japan and abroad. The venue features seven varieties of moss phlox in pink, white, and purple hues, creating a spectacular landscape that resembles a colorful carpet spread across the earth.
